These collars are made from premium hand-rubbed bridle leather with a nickel-plated solid brass roller buckle. Each collar is made to order, so you know you are getting a quality item that will last for years to come. Leather collars are known for their durability and comfort for your dog. A note about our leather collars and leashes: Believe it or not, leather is the most natural material for your dog or cat to wear. Not only is it close to your pet’s natural chemistry, but over time, oils from the skin mix with the leather to produce a collar with a smooth texture, which in turn will not irritate your pet’s skin or break the hair shaft. On an environmental level, leather is an all-natural material that is biodegradable. It is also sturdy enough to last for years to come and comes from a renewable resource.

To choose your size, measure your dog’s neck circumference and add 2 inches. You can expect some adjustability with a new collar but in general they should fit comfortably. The collar should not be so tight as to cause discomfort to the animal’s neck, nor should it fit so loose that the collar will slide off over your pet’s head when he shakes, pulls, or makes any uncommon movement.
